Most users ask Stansberry Research for the refund as a solution to their issues.

Beware: Stansberry Research "Free" Subscription is NOT Free!
I signed up for a free subscription to Stansberry Research, only to find I was later charged a $49.49 non-refundable "maintenance fee" without my consent. They claimed I opened emails notifying me about the renewalwhich I absolutely did notas I havent opened an email from them in years!
Their "free subscription" is misleading, and their billing practices are deceptive. If you value transparency and ethical business practices, stay away from Stansberry Research.
Don't let this happen to you!
Auto renewal of a product I don’t want or need.
Subscribed years ago and now completely unable to cancel. No contact info available and now Amex is taking up the matter directly with Stansberry. There is NO customer service at Stansberry, a good place to avoid.

Verified ReviewerCancelled Lifetime Subscription With No Refund
I recently had an extremely negative experience with Stansberry Research.
Many years ago, I subscribed to a newsletter called Gold Stock Analyst (GSA), edited by John Doody, which gave detailed analysis and insights on the gold and silver industry. It was a premier publication and was followed by individual as well as institutional investors.
When a stock was added to the top 10 (gold) or top 5 (silver) list, it was a market moving event. Because of this, the publication cost thousands of dollars per year.
In January of 2018, Gold Stock Analyst offered a special lifetime subscription offer to its clients. It was thousands of dollars, but I felt it was worthwhile to make the investment so Id have the industry insights for many decades to come. Prior to committing to the subscription, I went back and forth with a representative at GSA in order to get assurances that the newsletter would continue on for many years.
I received assurances (in writing) that the publication would continue for several more decades under John Doody as well as a successor if he were to retire. With that assurance, I made the investment to become a lifetime member.
In July of 2019, the GSA newsletter was sold to Stansberry Research. John Doody ended up retiring a few years later with Garret Goggin taking over the editorial duties. Things were continuing just fine until May of 2024 when Stansberry Research sent out a note saying the GSA newsletter would be discontinued.
No refund was offered and the only alternative was to their existing True Wealth Systems newsletter. But after looking at the newsletter, it was clear it would not offer any of the analysis, in depth coverage, and expertise which I had with GSA.
I sent an email on May 8th to their two main email addresses asking for more information about how they would offer similar coverage of the gold & silver industry, a refund, or at least another newsletter that was on par with GSA. After 9 days, I received no response so I called them.
I explained the situation to their representative and after confirming my information and subscription, I asked for a refund. She replied thats not going to happen.
I threatened to take legal and she said she would circle back with her leadership team and call me back. She never did. So after yet another follow up email she replied that they would not offer a refund and our hands are tied because my payment was paid to GSA prior to Stansberry buying them out.
When a company acquires another company, youre purchasing that company plus all the obligations and agreements that former company engaged in.
Thats why due diligence is so important. Stansberrys tough luck approach has left me with a bitter taste in my mouth and no alternative but to sue them in court (which I will do).
I would stay far away from this dishonest company.

Signed up with company for a year to review. Service and content were awful.
Everything is an upsell and the pricing is astronomically high...and you get little that will help you. On top of it all, in the fine print are yearly maintenance fees. I was hit with one...$299/year...on May 27th. I called them about it, not knowing it was a fee, and they told me every one of their offerings has a yearly maintenance fee.
I told them I don't even use the service and to please refund the fee...and they told me yearly maintenance fees are the one thing they do not refund.
BUYER BEWARE! RUN...don't walk, don't jog...SPRINT away from this company as fast as you can.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. Spoke with vendor & they retified
And it said password or email is not correct & did not send a reset to my email, it was not sent either. My verbage stated the following "I do not want your service. I cancelled it once but on 1/14/24 you put a Pending Charge on my new Debit Card . Some how you acquired my Banks (BB&T (BB&T was aquired by Truist) & the BB&T caed exspired 10/23.
So somehow you continued billing what I cancelled. So I originally started the service around 1/15/21 & was charged $204.57. That was legit. But you also made a charge on 1/21/22, 1/17/23 & 1/14/24.
I have had 2 Heart Ablations, 2 Heart Attacks, 2 Strokes, 1 Carotid Atery Surgey & 2different operations & received 3 Stents.
That is why I did not catch that my account was not cancelled & that you had been making charges. Your information will show that I have not been using your service as I had cancelled it".

I called immediately after a long weekend because I felt I had accepted a Lifetime in error and I wanted to cancel it, because I did not want it!!! And I did not want a credit to my account, I wanted a refund. To this day I am not happy with your customer service and feel like I no longer want to use your business and I will not pay anything else for your product.

After I sent the request I waited a few daws , but they did not respond. I sent another email because I am 83 and almost deaf and this is the way I communicate. To make a long story short I emailed them 4 times.

They credited my account and kept the money. This week I received 2 new e mails .they welcomed me for 2 more subscriptions not only did they keep my money but they put in place automatic renewal.
I dont have any proof. Would it seem like I'm crazy.
What do I do now from being scammed? HELP They never sent me anything telling me how much they cost.
